Handle for sliding glass door

I tried your Item #82-016, Surface Mount Handle, Set 3.5". It was Order #1324066, which I've submitted for return. I need the 3.5" set but it wasn't going to work for me because it was too unstable and had an "edge" lock, vs. a center lock. The photo show: 1) the broken handle, 2) the handle on the back side, 3) the center lock catch, 4) the front of the door where the handle would go and 5) the edge of the door where the lock mechanism would protrude. The door is 1.5" wide. The distance between the mounting holes is, again, 3.5". Can you help with this?
