Handle and mortise lock for Guardian sliding door

Contractor from Hamburg, IA
I have a customer that needs a replacement handle set & mortise lock for a Guardian sliding glass door. It appears the 82.227 is the correct mortise lock. Can you help identify the parts needed? Thank you.

Hello,

We'd be happy to look into this for you but we would need to see photos of the original handle set and mortise lock to compare to our inventory. Please also write out the exact distance between the hole centers of the handle set to help us narrow down your options.

Though many doors are marked with Guardian, please note that it generally indicates the manufacturer of the glass rather than the door. Thank you.

The latch is 5-3/8" center to center screw spacing
The door handles are 4" center to center screw spacing.
The exterior handle does not have a keyhole, it will need be replaced with one that does.
Thank you very much.

Thanks for getting back to us. I agree that your mortise lock resembles the 82-227 as long as the dimensions below match yours.

As for the handle set, your mortise is commonly used with the 82-030 handle set with 3-15/16" hole spacing. It's tough to tell how the thumb latch is positioned on your inside handle but we offer the 82-030A centered and 82-030B offset keyed options. Take a look and let us know if you have any other questions.
