Handleless Secondary Casement Sash Lock

Question

It is a Truth product with the number 45189 2, manufactured about early 1998. Please note that photo 1 does not include the vinyl latching mechanism along with the steel pin that engages a traveler in the window frame to operate multiple latches with a single handle. That is the part that is broken. Photo 3 shows a working handled unit with the vinyl latching mechanism along with the steel pin.

i have on hand your part 38-160 (my order #3078560). The vinyl latching mechanism is somewhat different (I don't know if it will work). However, it does not include the steel pin that I would need.My need is for 2 of the handleless units. Thanks.

Thank you for reaching out to us. We believe your lockset is no longer available. We have the 38-210 inside locking part, which might be the part from your secondary lock in the first photo. However, we do not carry the pin. I wonder if you could pick up some type of pin at a local hardware store in your area.

Another thought would be to use the 38-170 lever lock with the pin for both top and bottom locks using the 38-089 keeper. I can't make any promises but take a look at the specifications and see what you think.
