Hardware for screen doors for french doors?

I have a french door (double door where both doors are hinged and open). It is missing the top runner. On the bottom plate are couple of small ridges. I would like to know if these will work with a screen door and if so, what top runner would be recommended. One ridge is right at the edge of the plate, the other sets in 3/4" from the first ridge. Both ridges are 1/8" high (is this high enough)? Thank you for your input on this. Steve H.

Good Afternoon,
Are you missing all of your original top runners? If you have any left, take a few quick photos and upload them to the discussion board so we can take a look. If you don't have any left, submit photos of the door where the runners are missing. |

Here are some pictures of the doors and frame. There is no top runner (it did not come with one). And the bottom "runner" ridges or guides are only 1/8" tall. Picture 13 is the complete doorway, 14 shows the top, 17 the top width where the runner would go, 18 the bottom width of the runner guides, and 20 the bottom height of the runner guides.

Thank you for submitting your photos. You may want to take a look at the Swisco 80-110 Top Sliding Door Track. It seems you may be able to use two tracks next to each other.

What sliding screen doors would go with this? And how would that work on the bottom side, since there are only two OUTSIDE EDGE guides (1/8" tall and 3/4" apart. Thanks.

Taking a second look at your photo, you may be able to use two lengths of the Swisco 80-111 6 Foot Bottom Sliding Door Track, as you should be able to line up with the bottom tracks.
