Hardware issue

Question

We just bought our new house and this handle does not close properly.  You have to lift up on it for the handle mechanism to latch.  Can you please help me in determining what parts need to be replaced.

It sounds like a problem with the internal mortise. Unfortunately, we do not sell the type that you have on your door. These have to be made to the specific size of the door so they're difficult for us to stock. I recommend contacting the original manufacturer of the door directly.
