Harvey vinyl windows from 1998-2000 approx

All our Harvey windows from about 2000 have had the cam in the pivot lock shoe break 
we don't want to replace all these windows 
but windows won't open properly and or slam shut if you try to unlock and lift : hoping to try and replace these ourselves or using local handiman
