Help! Confusing parts!

Quick Learner from cleveland, oh

Hi

The 4 pics included are of an 8' metal bifold in a home I am helping out in. (Elderly folks....). I am not familiar with this type of hardware, and also, I don't see how to remove the old hardware. There are what appear to be brackets welded on to the door and the pins etc seem to be press fitted in. I am not sure how to remove the old stuff to replace the hardware. If you could please let me know what parts to order and how to install them it would be most appreciated!

My name is Dave.

Only 3 pics are sent. Sorry.

Hello,

It is nice of you to help these folks with their repair but, unfortunately, these older doors were made not to be repaired due to the welded pin housings. The only replacement parts that might work would be either 21-100 cap for a 1/4" pin or a 21-106 for a 3/16" pin. You can oil the threaded adjusting pin and replace the caps and that might allow the doors to function properly for the time being. Take a look and thanks for posting.

Hi Paul
I was afraid of that. I have a bunch of various parts like caps etc that I might get to work.
It seems the pins were bent a bit too, so I can try to straighten them, and maybe rig something.....
Thanks to you and your company for such a quick professional response. I will recommend you anytime.
