My brother visited and tried to install this door piece. It has an outside lock in it- I don't have one. So I guess I can't use this???
Please advise.

Hello, Diane. I'm not sure that I understand your question. Can you go into more detail? Looking at your photo, your door appears to be missing its thumb lever. By the outline it looks like our 82-043. Could that be what you're looking for?
