Thanks for writing in! Yes, the entire operator would need to be replaced because the worm gear has been completely stripped. Unfortunately, this is not something that can be repaired.
Your casement operator looks like it can be replaced with our 39-031 EntryGard Dual Arm Operator. The opposite handed version is the 39-032.
The cover compatible with this operator is the 39-107 Truth Hardware Operator Cover used along with either the 39-114L non-folding or 39-205 folding crank handles. We also have the 39-107FK Truth Folding Handle and Cover Kit.
To confirm that this operator is the correct replacement, carefully look over the dimensions below.
