Help identifying replacement parts

Quick Learner

Hi,
I have multiple windows which need their balances replaced. I haven't looked at all of them, but I will probably need 6 pairs.

My window sashes weigh about 19 pounds.

How can I determine if your hardware (for example https://www.swisco.com/10-lb-Single/pd/Series-140-Quick-Tilt-Balance/S140-10) will fit my windows?

The larger piece is:
1 and 7/8ths inches wide
2 and 7/8ths inches tall (not including the metal coil part)
5/8ths inches thick

The sash weighs 19 pounds (used bathroom scale)

I am not clear on the other measurement you wanted. What did I miss?

Thank you very much!

Hello,

Take a look at our 15-180 balance shoe, which is used with the Series 190 coil springs, and see how the dimensions shown on our product pages compare to your existing hardware.

For a 19-pound sash, I would recommend using two S190-540 coils on each side. Thanks for posting!

Thanks Casey!
The measurements look about right. I think I will order one set and just try it out before I go ahead and get enough for all 6 windows I need to repair.

So I would order:
2 each of 15-180, -181, -182
4 of 540 S190

For a single window?

Correct, except you would need four of the 15-182 bushings since you'll need one for each coil.
