Help identifying unknown parts

Reviewing the hardware on your photo, my first thought is that these are part of a carrier assembly for a closet door. Can you verify where these parts installed originally?

The reason I say this is because the design is so similar to our 23-162. This has the same kind of mounting plate and threaded post. However that's about where the similarities end. The hole pattern on the bracket is different compared to yours, and the overall size of both the bracket and threaded post appear to be different.

For now, look this product over and see what you think. Note that it's meant to mount a carrier like our 23-161. 

Written measurements, clarification of how this installed, and clarification on how it worked would all be helpful. Let me know if you can get any of that information for me.
