I would consider our S385-14 channel balance. Based on your stamp, the metal channel should be 14" long, not 15". I would double check that just in case.
A quick learner from Santa Rosa, CA. says:
Thank you Paul.
You are correct the metal part does measure 14".
I included the plastic ends when I initially measured them!
A quick learner says:
How do you determine the weight for the spring option to place the order?
Thank you in advance.

Casey from SWISCO responded:
Your stamp "13 4" normally translates to 1340
To check, remove and weigh your window sash; a pair of 1340 will carry a window sash weight range of 11-12 pounds.
A quick learner from Santa Rosa, CA. says:
Thank you Donna.
Have a great weekend!
A quick learner from Santa Rosa, CA. says:
Hi Donna,
I just weighed my sash and it only weighs 7 lbs!
I checked this against another scale.
I called Swisco and the gentlemen I spoke with said a 1320 was necessary to carry the 7 lb sash.
I do not understand why the balance stamp in my photo clearly show "13 4" which you indicate translates into a 1340 balance which you say carries an 11-12 lb sash when the window only weighs 7 lbs??? Could you be mistaken?
Thanks
Jeff

Tom from SWISCO responded:
I'm not sure either. It's possible whoever installed these balances to begin with installed the wrong ones. You can see the chart on our S385-14 store page that shows you how much weight each option can carry. This information comes from the factory itself, where these springs are calibrated, so I promise they are accurate.
