Help me find the right part
I will also need some for a 17.5" window, and 23.5" window. I have about 20 total windows to repair, so up to about 40 balances I will need.
Thanks for posting. Double-check the length of these balances. Only measure the metal channel. Don't include the end attachments. It likely is 27". If so, this looks like either an S380-27 or S385-27, depending on the depth of the bottom nylon shoe. See below. Measure your old shoe depth to see what matches best. In either case for the stamp choose 2620.
You'll need to measure the metal channel length of the other balances, check the stamp codes, and make sure they have the same end fittings. Let us know if you have questions.
if I buy several but they are the wrong size is there a replacement/refund policy?
do these come fully set with the spring, string, and plastic things at both ends ready to install?
thanks.
The '26' portion of the stamp does not refer to the length of the metal channel. It actually refers to the height of visible glass in the window. For a standard non-tilt window channel balance, this is 1" less than the metal channel length. So therefore it makes perfect sense to have 27" balances stamped 2620. Let us know if you have further questions.
Yes, sorry: these channel balance are fully assembled and ready to install right out of the box.
