Help removing sash

A handy person from Northern MI says:

We are renovating an old house and having trouble removing the sash for cleaning and painting. The marking on the crank housing says they are Semco. I have looked online to find information on how to remove them and while I have found information it doesn't seem to work on these sashes. The pin on the shorter pivot arm refuses to pop out. One did but I think doing so might have damaged it. The pin refuses to go back in the frame pivot hole and stay in place. What I need to know:

How do I remove these sashes without damaging the mechanism?

And what part(s) do I need to fix the pivot pin? (The picture is of one of the undamaged mechanism.)

I would appreciate any help you can offer.

Thank you, Tim

Tom from SWISCO responded:

Thanks for posting, Tim. I think the main problem here is that your crank operator doesn't have a shorter pivot arm. That would be the hinge, which is an entirely separate mechanism that isn't physically connected to the operator in any way. For instructions on how to remove the hinge, see the video below.
