I must replace a complete Maltese lock set in an old Anderson door.
As the attached photo shows, do you think of any measuring 9"5/8 length? I expect that we will have to adapt the handle and the keyholes, but the length needs to be similar to allow us to be secured with the screws to the door
Thanks for reaching out to us. At first glance, this mortise lock looks similar in design to our 40-194. However you will need to look over our dimensions to verify that they're all in alignment. Overall length of the face plate is not that important, but hole spacing, backset, depth, and spindle size are all essential. I'll share diagrams below for you to review.
If they differ in any way, please let me know. This type of mortise lock is hard for us to get a hold of these days, so I can't guarantee we'll be able to get something different, but I will do my best!
