I removed these older doors without taking proper note of how the top connected to the tracks/guides.
Wondering if anyone can help.

Hello! The guide you're showing in your first two photos is actually not the top. That's the bottom guide, which runs along the track on the floor. The top guide should be a roller of some kind.
