Hi. I recently moved into a new place and several of the windows do not function properly. Some of the cranks do not function at all, some of them will open the window but will not close the window, most of them come apart when trying to use them. The handles themselves seem to be fine and the mechanical arms are fine too, as is the large metal gear inside, but I suspect that the retaining nuts are stripped and the interior mechanisms are also worn out. Finally some of the windows even when closed do not appears to be fully closed. Attached are some pictures. Please advise as soon as possible.
Many thanks in advance!Michael

Hi Michael,
You are correct. It sounds like the worm gear has become stripped in several of your operators. That piece is not something that can be repaired, so you will need to replace the entire mechanism.
Your operator appears to be an exact match the 39-348 Sill Mount Awning Operator but you'll need to be sure to compare the dimension below to confirm. It is sold with the 39-106 detach clips but the 36-078 Shoe Stud is sold separately. The compatible handle is the 39-114L Crank Handle.
You may also want to examine the tracks to see if they might need to be replaced as well; if so, you'll likely need the 36-078B.
