Help with my balance

A home owner from Grapevine, TX says:

Hello,

What a coincident that I also need the exact items that was mentioned in this post:(https://www.swisco.com/discussions/balance-numbers_part-screwed-on-top-of-window-77-197330)

(BSI 28C, 29" length of the metal piece, 1 3/16" shoe width no wings, and 1 1/8" long top part w no wings, with the same sash cams)

Do you still not have these balances in any of your stock items? The dimensions of 18-199 seems to be slightly different than what I need (18-185 seems to be closer). Would you happen to know what ended up working for the person who originally wrote the above post?

Can you please email be the required info and order forms? I might order one set first to make sure it all fits.

Thanks for reaching out to us. The balance we recommended in that old thread looked like a custom order; specifically a 1/2" wide channel balance with a 19-002 top and 15-003 bottom. However, your shoe is a little too damaged for me to confirm. Custom balances cannot be returned for a refund if anything is wrong, so I think it would be best if we could see an undamaged version of your shoe to confirm. I'd also like you to triple check its depth measurement.

As for the top sash guide, please give me a little more time to look into this. Your style isn't immediately familiar to me.

It seems that the 18-199 is the closest to your dimensions, though it's still not exact. I can only tell you that it is the best option we have.

I will await your photos of the undamaged balance shoe.

These are some pics from the shoes on other windows. Hope they provide some clarification. Any recommendations?

Tom from SWISCO responded:

That's a big help, thanks. Based on this design I feel confident that our 15-003 shoe is your best option. This is the only shoe we make in this style that's 1-3/16" deep.

The bad news is that this isn't a stock part, so it will have to be a custom order. What I can do is make a 29" long balance with a 2830 stamp, which should match your old 28C; this carries 16 through 23 pounds. We'd then install a 19-002 top and 15-003 bottom nylon fitting.

If that sounds good to you, please let me know how many you need and I can then email you a purchase link and price quote for that quantity, which you can use to place an order on our site.

Hello,
Since I am not sure how everything will fit together once installed, i like to order a pair for now and once everything is verified, i will need to probably order 12 more pairs.
Thanks
