Hello. I need a little help with picking the correct spiral balance for my window. My home and windows are about 10 years old. Last year i heard this loud pop when i opened this window and noticed the window wouldn't open as easy afterwards but would still open and stay (I assumed one of the spiral balances went bad). I heard the same pop again last week and now the window is hard to open and won't stay up so i'm assuming both balances are gone now. I have Kinro tilt windows and I've weighed the sash and measured the balance tube. The sash weighs 9 lbs and the balance tube is 3/8 dia and 17" long. There was no color tip at the bottom of the tube, i've attached a few pic's. I was able to figure out which spiral balance i needed till i came to the sash lbs chart that confused me just a little. For a 3/8 tube 17" long it is showing both a blue and a red tip balance. The blue range is 9-21 lbs and the red is 6-17 lbs and my sash is 9 lbs which falls under both. So i need your help and your help is most appreciated. Thanks,
Mark
