Help with stops

A handy person from New York says:
I have a Pella full view storm door which requires two 58-162 bottom sweeps. The two tracks each have a rounded punched out bump created in the stainless track. I believe they are there to help stop the sweep from sliding out. These stops are preventing the sweep from passing through the track. Does anyone happen to know if these stops should be punched in the opposite direction to allow the sweep to pass through the track?

Personally speaking, I would punch out the stops toward the hinge side of the door because after you install the replacement rubber sweep, you will need to re-punch to lock in the sweep. Hopefully that makes sense.
