Window Balance

I can't see the shape of the back of your attachments, so take a look at our half-inch channel balances to see if you see one that has the same attachments as yours. You'd then pick a 29" version of the same balance and weigh your window sash to choose a weight option.

With "wingless" attachments on the top and bottom of your balance, you would be looking at the Series 351 or Series 390 channel balances, S351-29 or S390-29. The difference between the two lies in the shoe. Measure the bottom "shoe" attachment and see which of the two shoes below you need. The 1" shoe goes with the S351-29 and the 1-1/8" shoe belongs to the S390-29.

The two balances I listed both come in different strength "options." "28-3" is often equivalent to a SWISCO "2830" option, but you'd need to weigh your window sash to check that. There is a chart on the webpage for each of those balances, and the chart tells you which option you need, based on your sash weight.
