Good Afternoon, I live in a pretty old area, the battle of Reed's bridge in the civil war is about two and a half miles from my house. I live on Highway 294 in Jacksonville, AR which is the trail of tears/butterfield trail. The house I live in was built in 1955 which is the same year that the air force base opened here. I was raking some debris in my yard last weekend and uncovered these on the side of my house. A little hard to make out and I had to get out the witch hazel and toothbrush just to be able to read it, but it says Amerock patent pend on the front of the hinge. I just love antiques and history and I have searched and searched the internet with what little information I have and have not found another hinge like this, found your website through the Google search engine and figured you might be able to tell me how old these are? Thanks so much & have a great day! Erica

You live in a pretty fascinating area! I don't believe this door is quite as old as the Civil War, unfortunately. Most likely this hardware is from the original kitchen cabinets when the house was built in 1955. I actually have a very similar Amerock part at home that broke the same way this did. I'd be that when the kitchen was updated this hardware found it's way into the back yard thanks to a careless handy person.
