HI! I'm so glad you are there! I'm trying to fix a double hung track that measures 28" long with a 12" spring end to end (w/hook). I purchased the window at Home Depot in the fall of 1997.

There is a marking on the track itself "2630"
There is a marking on the metal piece that encases the double pulley "U"
The plastic parts or the spring itself do not have markings.

If you guys figure this out, you are geniuses!

Hi there!

We're glad you found us! I recommend our S380-27 or S385-27 channel balance, depending on your bottom shoe depth. The Series 380 has a 1" deep shoe and the Series 385 has a 1-3/32" deep shoe. Measure as shown in the image below to determine the best match. You will also need the 2630 strength option.

Wow you really are a genius! Thank you so much. It looks like my shoe depth is 1 and 3/32, so I am hoping to order Part S385. Do they come in pairs, or do I need to order two? Also, do you have a link to a youtube video for this? Perhaps you already sent it...

I'm afraid our balances aren't sold in pairs so you would need to adjust the needed quantity. And yes! We indeed have a video that will walk you through the replacement process. I'll post that down below.
