Our windows are 20 years old, and when I tried to clean them they break off. I use WD-40 to help but I don't know if I need the whole side with the springs. I sent The message on the window if that might help

Hello! It looks like your pivot shoe is broken.

We sell the 15-192, which is very similar to your original. This very well may work for you but there are two important details to note:

  • We only sell the newer version of this shoe, which is designed to have a slight protrusion, or bump, on the face. Past customers have told me that these bumps get in the way of installation in older windows and, as a result, they had to cut them off or shave them down. That's something you may need to be prepared for.
  • The new style metal cam will not be compatible with your original pivot bars. That means you will have to reuse the old metal cams; they can slip in and out of the plastic housing.
