How is the 86-002 meant to attach?

I just purchased 2 of the 86-002 bottom guides. Are these firmly attached or are they intended to slide up and down to engage or disengage the sliding screen.

The 86-002 guide should be set in place. You need to attach them to the corner screw in the door. What you would do is to clip them onto the bottom track of the door and tighten the screw in place. You can try sliding the door to see if you need to readjust the guide so the door will slide properly.
