How to Identify an Andersen Cord Balance

Question

I have an Anderson window that the cord is broken I saw your you tube video on replacing sash balance. Is there anyway I can tell which one I need without taking the whole window apart?

I'm afraid that there isn't. In order to identify your Andersen balance, the only reliable method is to use the old stamps as a reference.

I'd be happy to help with that; there are going to be multiple codes printed on your balance box and most of them won't be useful. There is one specific three or four digit number that is usually printed on the box or on the side tab (if you have one). Seeing photos of each stamp would allow me to pick out the right digits and make a recommendation.
