How to Open Window w/Lock Handle Broken?

Question

Subject pretty much says it all. Just ordered the parts. Have 2 handles broken, but can't get the lock slider down to release the window and get at the screws. Any ideas?

I tried getting a screwdriver up in there to push it down - no luck moving it.

If you are unable to disengage the lock manually with a screwdriver, I'm afraid your options are very limited. You may want to contact a local handy person to come out and look it over. It may need to be cut out.
