How to attach new Jalousie window crank

Question

recently I purchased from you part number 39?017, the Pan Am/ Daryl window crank.

My window is 83 years old, and unfortunately the arm of the crank is not held on with a nut and bolt, but with the mechanism that I have included in the attached pictures.

I have scoured the Internet and cannot find a video or tutorial on how to remove the old arm from the crank mechanism without damaging the fastener.

Do you have any ideas or suggestions regarding how to remove the old crank arm from the window frame, preserving the attaching hardware to use on the new arm?

i'm sorry that the pictures are not more clear. I couldn't photograph the lateral aspect facing its concrete block framing. It was too close to it.

It looks like you could have a type of groove pin similar to the 33-077, which is secured using the 21-161 E-Ring clip. You may just need to replace the E-Ring and not the groove pin. I normally use a small slotted screwdriver to pry the E-Ring off. Depending on the location, which you mentioned is hard to get to, you might need to use something with a hook like the 75-004 or one of the other tools related on this page. Keep in mind that it's not an easy fix to remove or replace these E-Rings.
