How to release sash stop device

A home owner from Alberta says:
Hello,

Some of the windows in my place had stop devices (look identical to 39-398) when I moved in. I need to temporarily open one of the windows past the stop point and I'm wondering what the best way to do that is.

Thank you!

Tom from SWISCO responded:

The best way to disengage the 39-398 is to use a slotted screwdriver to push back the little metal clip that holds the long arm to the sill plate. Once that clip is pushed back, it releases and will allow you to open the window normally.
