How to remove glued in

Good morning Some advice needed please I have purchased some replacement window felt and weatherstripping tube stock When removing the tube seal on bottom of windows some are glued or silicones into the track and some are not Thoughts please Should I re hauls or try to clean up the mess and install tube without the chaul

I would recommend taking a sash to your nearest hardware store and seeing what they advise. They can see what kind of sealant is at play here and can then come up with the best method of how to remove it without damaging the sash.

Thank you for the quick response
I did review the sealant and it was either a hot glue or a silicone product
I was able to remove product from sash channel without damage
Part 2 of my concern
Do you recommend using a product as mentioned above to secure the weatherstripping into the channel or should it be installed without allowing it to move freely

Great, glad you were able to get it out. As for a replacement, it really depends. Most weatherseal actually does not require adhesive to install, but it's not unheard of. We actually carry a few different adhesive-backed seals ourselves. However, these are mostly used in instances where there is no channel in which to install the seal. It sounds like yours already went in a channel, so I'm thinking it may not be necessary as long as you get the proper size.
