To remove and replace pivot lock shoes:

For the lower inner sash there should be a cut out at the top of the jamb-slot, it may be behind the sash stop, if not cut to slide the pivot lock shoe out/in.

For upper exterior sash there should be a cut out at bottom of the jamb slot, it may be behind the sash stop, if not cut to slide the pivot lock shoe out/in.

I looked on your website to see about ordering new pivot shoes. The only problem I have is how do you get the old ones out and the new ones back into the window. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Usually the vinyl sash stop will hide the cutout.

There may be no cutout, in which case you will need to cut the jamb track to form one as the video above demonstrates. However, if it's a vinyl window and you do not want to cut the frame, you could also use something like our 75-069 Jamb Spreaders. Take a look and see what you think.

We use a heat gun to make the channel pliable
It gets very soft and you can pull the channel enough to get old shoe out- It is hot use needle nose pliers to get out - insert new shoe . Then heat again - about 6 inches away ( will burn and discolor if too close ) The channel has a memory and will go back to position. Use a rag or tip of needle nose to help get back into shape .
We have done over fifty this way and takes about 5 minutes
