How to replace bottom guide pin

I have replaced a top guide spring-pin on my Benchmark bifold door by pulling the top and bottom guide pins on the end panel so it swings off the track, but how can I replace the bottom guide pin? There isn't much clearance from the carpet below. Must I lift the entire door off and lay it flat to do so?

You will need to remove the door from the track by pulling down the two top pins, then swinging the top of the door out and lifting it from the bottom of the track. Lay the door down on a stable surface and and unscrew the bottom threaded pivot pin, which should resemble our 21-002.

It's the bottom guide pin, not pivot pin, that I need to replace, so I assume I don't need to unscrew the pivot pin in this process. Correct?

No, actually, you can leave the bottom threaded pivot pin alone, but you would still need to remove the door to replace the bottom guide pin assembly.
