How to replace truth crank handle that won't secure

Toll Brothers in 2012 subbed a non-truth operator and crank handle for right side window that is identical in looks but not durability as the crank handle securing mechanism that snaps into position after cranking is done, broke. Truth in 2012 used a U shaped spring-type clip, the subbed used some type of plastic/metal with actual spring. Personally I prefer a truth part, but not sure it will work, and can't see how just to replace the handle vs the handle/operator.

All help would be great.

Your operator is definitely a genuine Truth brand part, so my top recommendation would be the 39-376 and 39-375 cover/handle kits. These are specifically designed to work on Encore style Truth parts like the 39-221B and 3-220B.

Your next step should be to remove the existing cover to check to see if the base is the same Encore style. If so then I'm confident that the mentioned products will work.
