Hurd Patio Door - outside handle

Looking for replacement outside handle for Hurd patio door, installed 2002. Measurements are; width 15/16", height 6 1/4", mounting screw width, about 4".

Hey there. Our 82-042 Outside Pull will fit, but I am afraid it only comes in black. I apologize for the inconvenience. Your only other option would be complete handle sets like the 82-032 or 82-030. See what you think.

I ordered 82-032 but upon receiving it's actually 1 1/8" wide and the door will not shut completely. I'll have to return. Other thoughts?

Sorry to hear of your trouble with the 82-032. See our Return Policy here. Before proceeding, can you go into a little more detail? How is the width preventing the door from closing? This isn't a problem I've heard of often before so I want to make sure I understand. Can you show us the mortise lock in the door?

I'm afraid I've never heard of this issue, either. My one thought is for you to take a look at the 82-030 handle set. Measuring the outside handle it comes out to 7/8". The installation screw hole center is 7/16" from the outside edge of the door. This might be a better fit.

Another thought is to adjust your mortise lock. Turning the screw next to the hook extends the hook in and out. That may also be responsible for the door not closing properly.
