I have 25" channel balance stamped 24D

I have American Windows Miami brand windows circa 1994. One of them has a broken set of balances marked 24D. I didn't find an exact match. Sash measures 50"x25", aluminum, single glass (15-20 lbs maybe?). The shoe looks like your 15-004 and the top like your 19-042 because it is connected to the top of the sash with a screw. Please assist.

Reviewing your photos closely, I am more incline to lean towards the 19-031 top balance shoe as making the better option. Look it over and see what you think. From there review our Series 371 balance for consideration.

It does look like the 19-031 but it's closed at the top and screwed to the window sash keeping it in place. In that case maybe the 19-004 would be better. It looks very similar but closed on top.The shoe is 1 3/32" deep, so definitely a 15-004. If you think that the 19-004 would receive a screw then that would be the way to go.

I don't think either the 19-004 or 19-031 are designed to use a screw. To be honest, I'm not sure why yours has a screw in the first place. Can you describe to me its function?
