I have a stuck knife latch on an old screen window.

I am not sure what to do to get my knife latch to work its on an old screen window and its stuck will not lock?? Help what do I do. Thanks so very much

I'm not sure what the issue may be. It could be clogged with dirt and debris, or the frame or even the knife latch itself could be broken. It could be anything. What exactly is happening? Can you show me some pictures to get an idea of what you have?
