I need Casement Window parts?.

Quick Learner from Pittsburgh, PA
I have Simonton Windows, installed 2010. The bathroom/shower window has rusted and broken at the stud mounted underneath the window. It is a snap stud, but the stud has rusted into the articulating arm of the crank operator, and sheared off due to corrosion and torque. I replaced the actual crank handle due to shower location. After scouring ALL of the operators on your site, I haven't found any that match the dimensions of the crank that I have. I cannot figure out how to disassemble the crank assembly without breaking it (to find part numbers). The crank arm has TRUTH stamped into it, but no numbers.

Please Help,
Thank you

Hi Mike, thank you for posting,

Please start by reviewing the style and dimensions of the 39-221B and 39-220B operators to see how they compare to your original. Also review the compatible cover/handles I have related on the page depending on the style preference.

If a new bracket is also needed, please review the dimensions and orientation of the 39-545 and 39-546 to see how they compare to your original.

Let us know what you think and if you have any additional questions!

Lauren,

Thanks for the quick reply. That operator looks like a great match and dimensionally accurate. Not sure how I overlooked it but thank you for suggesting it.

Only remaining question(s) I have is: does the new operator come with a white cover or do I reuse the original? If I have to reuse the original, how do I go about removing it from the original, does it just snap fit or is it mounted with rivets/screws?

Hello,

The newer style does not come with a cover and handle. Please review the 39-375 and 39-376 or the 39-451 and 39-452 depending on style preference.

These covers snap on and off. Looking at your original, it is possible that the original cover is built into the operator and not removeable. This is common for older operators. Please review and let me know if you have any additional questions!
