I need a replacement part

I think this may be an entry guard part # 39-032 and I want to verify this is correct before I order it.

On the base of the part is the number 40372

the long arm is marked 30470 LH

the short arm connected to the gear is marked 30841

the short arm with the clip on the end is marked 20810

on the crank housing is the number 30830

when standing outside the house looking at the window it opens to the left

Thanks for contacting us. I agree, our 39-032 looks like a great match. You should just double check to make sure the dimensions all match up. That would be more important than any stamp or marking you'll find. Stamps may change but dimensions never lie.

The replacement part was a perfect match, I installed it and it works great. I noticed the operator on the other side of the bay window was showing signs of ware so I ordered another operator for that window and replaced it also.

And to think that back in 2003 when this operator broke the contractor I called to repair it told me Entry Guard was out of business and replacement parts were unavailable and all he could do was replace the entire bay window at a cost of $2000.

That's great to hear, thank you so much for the update! We try very hard to help customers avoid having to replace the whole window. Many professionals will tell you that that's your only option, but it so rarely is. There's always a little fix.
