I need to order 2 replacement window balances stamped "28 3 A J"

Hi - one of my Jordan windows no longer slides correctly as the balance on the left no longer works (the heavy-duty white fiber cord that wraps around the 2 pulleys failed). This is not a "tilt-out" window

I followed your very helpful YouTube video and easily removed the window and both balances. In lieu of attaching images, I'll try to describe what the balance looks like (sorry if you probably already know this)

- each balance is 30 & 1/8" overall length and has a ~5/8" U-shaped metal frame which is slightly over 29-in long; there is a coil spring anchored at the frame's upper end; a clevis which holds a small pulley is fixed to the spring's opposite end
- there's a complementary pulley mounted to a white nylon shoe which is riveted at the bottom of the metal frame; the heavy cord wraps around the pulleys
- the left & right balances look interchangeable

I'd like to order 2 new replacement balances and hope this is enough info for you to give me some guidance - which part number should I get?

Thanks for you help!

I am confident we can help, Phil. We will need to see photos of these balances removed from the window to have a look. From there, we will find you what you need.

Thank you for your photos. Have a look at both our S351-29 and S390-29 balances. Depending on the 'depth' measurement of your bottom balance shoe will determine which of the two balances would make the better replacement. Whichever one chosen will use a 2830 option that holds a sash weight of 16-23 pounds.
