I purchased part number 18-161

Question

I purchased 5/8 sash guide 18-161 and they work fine for the ones I could replace BUT, some of the windows have a broken piece of plastic in the top of the metal bar that goes up to the sash guide . What is THAT OTHER PART? Channel balance?

It sounds like the nylon fitting from your channel balance, yes. That could possibly be our 19-005 but it's just a guess. There are many other possibilities, that one is just common. You'll have to look it over to see how well they match. The video below may also be of some help.
