Please see attached pictures. I am looking for a pair of window balances. The length of the balance is 26" and it has the following printed on the part: "25 4 CALDWELL LM".

Start by looking at our Series 385 channel balance. This may be a match.

I am not sure how to proceed. Following your video on identifying replacement parts, I sent pictures, numbers stamped on the balance, and the length.
How do I determine if the Series 385 is in fact a match? Do I need to send better pictures?
What information is not made clear by the numbers stamped on the part? Is it the width? The end connectors? Something else?

Your next step is to visit the S385-26 store page and carefully go over the information we have posted there to see if everything looks right. I think the Series 385 could be what you need but you will have to confirm using the provided information.

What does the stamp "25 4 CALDWELL LM" tell me about the part? Does that help me select the stamp option?

Yes, that is exactly what it does. Based on a stamp of 25 4 I would recommend our 2540 option. You can also weigh your sash to confirm.
