ID Channel Balance

A home owner from Colorado says:

The plastic parts of the channel have broken and it is only assisting from one side.I believe the channel I'm looking for is the series 370. Mine is 35" long and the lower shoe looks the same but my top guide does not have the "wings" protruding from the sides as your image shows. They don't appear to have broken off and they may not cause a problem, if so I could probably just cut that part off. The sash weighs just over 30 lbs. I hope the pictures tell the story better. Unfortunately I don't find any marks or stampings on the old channels.

Let me know what you think.

Thank you, Tom

Hi- thanks for posting!

For your custom 35" side load balance, the top looks more like our 19-011 and the bottom balance shoe is either our 15-001 (1-1/8" depth) or our 15-002 (1" depth). Please compare to see which one matches to what you have. As for the stamped spring weight code, isn't there a four digit number on the channel near the bottom balance shoe? For a 30 lbs. sash you would use (3440) for a spring weight. See if the code number on our balance matches that.
