ID for top and foot piece of 30" x 1/2" balance

Thanks for posting.It's pretty difficult to say what balance you might have without seeing it removed from the window. Be sure to confirm that the metal channel excluding the nylon attachments is 30". If so, see our S351-30 or S390-30 Channel Balances. The only difference between these two balances is the 'depth' of the bottom nylon shoe. The Series 351 bottom nylon shoe has a depth of 1", whereas the Series 390 bottom nylon shoe has a depth of 1-1/8". Compare with your old balances and see what you think matches best.

Once you know which balance to select, you will need to choose a stamp option. Search your balance for a stamped code that should conform to one of our stamp options listed on each balance's product page. Send us a picture of the stamp number if you need help determining this.

Finally, it also looks like your top sash guides need to be replaced. Your top sash guides are the plastic 'caps' on the top corners of the window sash that your window balances have busted through. Top sash guides are used to keep the window balances in place while allowing the window to operate. Often top sash guides can break due to age or sun exposure. When this happens, the channel balances shoot past the sash. If you need help replacing your top sash guide, send us 'mugshot pictures' of one of yours, preferably undamaged, from front and side views. 

It's good you sent these additional photos! Now that I can see your nylon attachments have wings at both ends, you actually need to look at the S380-30 or S385-30 Channel Balances instead. The only difference between these two Series is the also 'depth' of the bottom nylon shoe. With the Series 380 the depth of this nylon shoe is 1", whereas with the Series 385 it is 1-3/32". Compare with your own and see what is best.

Your stamp of 29 6 conforms to our stamp option of 2960, for a window sash in the weight range of 32 through 35 lbs.

This looks a lot like our 18-166. I'm just eyeballing it, though--I highly recommend comparing the dimensions we show for it to yours. Top sash guides get weirdly specific, so make sure to go over each measurement. It's a good place to start though, I think this may be what you want.
