ID window Ballast for ordering

A home owner from Santa Cruz, CA says:
I am replacing a Caldwell Ballast/sash product. I believe I have I.D.'d it as your part number 350.The length stamped on it is 1 inch less that the length I came up with using your measuring diagram which is basically the metal portion. Just want to be sure I'm getting the correct one. Also do you know how I correlate the code for weight to yours. I am looking at this stamped on the units I now have-21 4 JO Caldwell
27 3 KO Caldwell and
27 4 KO Caldwell

Tom from SWISCO responded:
Thanks for posting. If your stamp is 27 3, then the metal channel should be 28" long. The 21 4 balance should be 22" long. As for your stamps, I would recommend our 2140, 2730, and 2740, respectively. You can always weigh your sash on a scale to confirm that these are accurate.
A quick learner says:
Thanks for your help. I will place my order based on these numbers.
