ID and find this Part
Sears sold their window division to Transform HomePro. Unfortunately, the Lifetime Warranty was not included in the sale. Since Sears cannot help in any way and HomePro can only replace the entire window I cannot fix a simple part.
I think the part is called a "Coil Spring Carrier"?
The coil spring attaches to it and the top of the lower window hinges from it.
It slides Up/Down to assist in raising/lowering the window.
I tried buying a Certainteed PN: 96-C1. It appeared correct but was but not.
Please help me!

Hello,
You mentioned that the windows are Sears brand but the pivot shoe shown in your photo is commonly used in Certainteed windows, which would be our 15-192 that uses the S170 and S171 coil springs. Please note that some customers have reported that they needed to shave the front of the shoe down to install it in their window jamb, which may have been the problem that you encountered with the Certainteed shoe that you already purchased.
We also offer a conversion video shown below that works for both Certainteed and Simonton windows that use this type of assembly. Take a look and review the full process below and see which option you'd prefer for your repair.
