Question

Hi!  I'm in the process of buying a home, and I noticed that a couple of the casement windows had cranks missing.  In searching the internet, I came across your website.  I could not find an identifying brand on the windows, but I did see the above markings etched on the glass.  Hopefully, that is sufficient to find suitable cranks.  There is a "L" above the etching.

Hello there. I'm afraid that imprint won't help us find the casement window operators you need. That's just an identifier of the glass, not the window itself; but even if we knew that information, this hardware tends to vary a lot independent of the brand using it, and so it's usually not a great indicator of the parts you need. To know what operators you need, we need photos of existing hardware. Do any of the windows still have operators? If so, I'll need to see the entire mechanism including the link arm(s) that push and pull the window closed. A bird's eye perspective is usually best for this. From there we'll do our best to narrow down what you need.
