Identify (Kinco?) Window balances

Question

These are labelled "28 3" and "J H". The metal part of the balance is 29 inches long. I also wonder if I have the correct sash cam (photo 5006), because on this particular window, the balance has escaped and sprung up, despite none of the plastic pieces looking broken. My existing sash cam is 1/2 inch in the small dimension.

Hello, thanks for posting! It looks like you could have either our S351-29 or S390-29 with the 2830 stamp option. The difference between the Series 351 and Series 390 lies in the depth of the shoe. Take a look at the picture below for more detail. Once you have determined this dimension you should be able to select the appropriate balance. As for your top sash guide, unfortunately I can't really say if you have the right one. You appear to have our 18-166, but I would double check the dimensions to be sure.
