Identify a Window Channel Balance

Handy Person from Kissimmee, Florida
I want to replace the channel balances in a 20 year old single hung metal window (56"w x 70"h). The identifyig number on the metal is quite unclear. IUn the attached pic it shows what appears to be the numbers 29 3 , but there is a space and the 3 could be a nine or other? As well, close exam shows there were more numbers. The item is a 1/2 inch, and 30 inches long. The bottom shoe is a match for your picture, but the top piece is quite different from your site picture. Looking at the photo attached, you can see it has a quite long extension up from the top of the metal. Actually it extends exactly 5/8 inch up from metal. I need to replace two of these now to complete a remodel and I really appreciate your help to identify what model/type it is specifically, and also advise if you can supply it or not. I appreciate your kind assistance and look forward to your response at your first opportunity. Thank You!

Good morning, and thanks for posting. Looks like your top attachment is winged, while your bottom is not. Since this doesn't match any of our standard Series, your balance will have to be specially made.

Before I can work on that, though, I'll need to figure out what that bottom shoe is. Check out our 15-001 and 15-002 and tell me which is a closer match.

The items you show appear exactly the same except for their coloration, which I assume is due to different materials. The item I have is using the 15-002 version.

They actually have different dimensions. Double check the measurements shown in the picture above and compare them to your own shoe to determine which is closer.

Actually I mailed the channel balance to another firm who required the actual item to advise me what to do and what it was. As such, I do not have it in hand any longer. The best I can do is 15-002. Thanks, and I await your advice.

Ah, I see. If you believe you have the 15-002, then I'm going to email you a custom order link and price quote that you can use to place an order on our website. Please let us know if you have any questions!
