The first two windows that I'm going to do the middle part of the Channel balancer is 30 inches long and half inch wide.
The numbers stamped in the part are: 2990 38
There is also E and BSI.
The window sash weighs 29 1/2 lbs

Hi there! You could have either a S380 or S385 channel balance. You’ll need to measure as shown below. The Series 380 has a 1" bottom attachment, and the Series 385 has a 1-3/32" attachment. You'll also need a strength option of 2990. If you have any other questions please just let us know.

It looks like I have a series S380 because my base is only 1 inch. How do I find out the strength option for 2990? I weighed the window sash it is 29 1/2 pounds.

In that case, you'll need a strength option of 2950 based on the chart on the S380's product page.
