Hi, I was told to measure the screw hole distance and to upload some pics of the handle and door lock area ,looks to be 3 11/16 from screw center to center.

Hmm... well, our 82-218 has the same hole spacing, and the face is rounded and looks like it could fit in the old hole. This may be your best bet. Your handle set is very different, though, and I've personally never seen it before. I cannot be sure if it is compatible with the 82-218. Without seeing the original mortise lock, I can't guarantee if this will work.
